This book is a practical book that introduces how to write ``Japanese Modern Calligraphy,'' a new type of modern calligraphy that has been uniquely interpreted by the author using modern letter expressions, with the aim of ``enjoying the Japanese language.''

Mainly using the author's original typeface, "Harukaze," we will introduce how to draw hiragana and katakana, how to draw original typefaces, and how to enjoy DIY using modern Japanese calligraphy. It is also full of phrases that can be used in everyday life and events.

Shoko Harada Profile

Born in 1991 in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. After graduating from the Department of Design at Kanazawa College of Art, he worked as an art director at a major department store before becoming independent. Mainly active in providing designs to companies, brand logos, nameplates, and modern calligraphy instructors. Based on the concept of “a new way to enjoy Japanese,” he continues to explore the expression of calligraphy-style works that combine Japanese and Western styles, making use of his experience living overseas.
