Shiho Sakurai - Botanical Illustration Watercolor Course November 2024 - March 2025 (5 sessions)

brush brush - A monthly watercolor botanical illustration lesson by Shiho Sakurai, learning from the basics.

The final part of this five-part course will involve participants completing their own original sticker using a motif of their own choosing.
We will work closely with each participant to provide advice on key points to keep in mind when drawing flowers and botanical patterns, as well as tips on which angles to use to create a balanced drawing.

【curriculum】
Part 1: Alstroemeria (watercolor techniques, how to use tools, coloring)
2nd session: Christmas rose and mistletoe 3rd session: Viola and tulip 4th session: Mimosa and cherry blossom 5th session: Finish the plant of your choice *We plan to create data for making stickers using the plant illustrations you completed in the 5th session.

Shiho Sakurai Profile

Graduated from the Department of Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. After working as an art teacher and product developer for baby products, he became a freelancer.
She creates works that incorporate hand-drawn illustrations and hand lettering, and in addition to original items, she also designs logos and textiles.
