brush brush - Shiho Sakurai's monthly watercolor botanical illustration lesson that teaches you the basics. This is the application page for the Basic course Spring/Summer class.
The Botanical Illustration Watercolor Basic course has different themes for spring/summer and fall/winter. Those who complete both the spring/summer class and fall/winter class will receive a diploma.
The Spring/Summer class consists of five lessons, culminating in participants completing their own original stamps using a motif of their own choosing.
We will carefully work with each participant to provide advice on key points to keep in mind when drawing flowers and botanical patterns, as well as tips on which angles to cut from to create a balanced drawing, so even those who are new to illustration can participate with confidence.
