[DAIKANYAMA drawing] Maki Shimano - Envelope design drawn with Japanese characters 4/24

This is a workshop on writing Japanese characters with a pointed pen, led by calligrapher/calligrapher Maki Shimano.
In the first half, you will create your own original envelope by combining various papers and shapes of your choice.
In the second half, you will practice writing Japanese script with a pointed pen and design your own envelope address.

Maki Shimano Profile

Calligrapher
She started holding a brush at the age of 5. After graduating from university, she joined Plan-Do-See Co., Ltd. While working in the bridal industry, she was also involved in store logos and designs, which is where she discovered calligraphy.
After getting married and giving birth, she became an independent artist. She expresses the fusion of Japanese and Western calligraphy with her own unique interpretation, elevating it to art. Her works are also sold overseas.
He works in a range of fields, including event calligraphy for luxury brands, selling collaborative products with companies, and supervising educational materials.
His publications include "Modern Calligraphy" (BNN) and others.
